About
Medida had already built an iOS application used by professional window and door installers to perform AR-based measurements in the field. But one part of the experience was breaking down. The app relied on uploading large image data, often in unstable connectivity conditions. Uploads were fragile, easily interrupted, and couldn't survive real usage like locking the device or switching apps.
For professionals on site, that's not just inconvenient. It's a reliability problem that directly affects their workflow.
We partnered with Applift to enhance the reliability and efficiency of our iOS app. Applift worked closely with our team to optimize performance and improve overall user experience.
Behind the scenes
This wasn't just a networking issue.
The team had to work within iOS background execution limits, handle large media files split into chunks, and deal with real conditions: bad connectivity, app interruptions, a live production system used by professionals every day.
At the same time, Applift's developers integrated alongside Medida's internal team, working in parallel without disrupting ongoing development.
