Zencity is a civic technology company whose platform equips local governments with community insights and decision-making tools. Having established a mature desktop product, Zencity leveraged Applift’s mobile expertise to bring that experience to iOS.
The Partnership
We embedded directly with Zencity's product and design teams to define the mobile app's scope and technical direction. Beyond execution, Applift drove the architectural decisions required to align the mobile app with the existing product ecosystem. A key technical focus was the seamless integration of web-native components; we developed customized WebView implementations that allowed specific web UI elements to function as first-class citizens within the native app, maintaining brand consistency while optimizing for mobile performance.

Implemented push notifications and deep linking end-to-end, routing readers from any notification or external link directly to the right screen and content within the app.
CI/CD release pipeline
A full CI/CD pipeline produces tagged, verified builds and ships them through TestFlight to the App Store, keeping releases predictable and hands-off.
